Add showreels

You can add showreels to a profile to show your work. A showreel is a named collection of videos and images. You upload media once to the profile's media library, then use it in as many showreels as you like.

Showreels also travel with you: when you apply for a role or express interest in a crew job, you can attach one.

Create a showreel

  1. In the sidebar, click My profiles, then click the profile.
  2. In the Showreels section, click Manage showreels.
  3. Click New showreel.
  4. Enter a Title and, if you like, a Description.
  5. Choose a Visibility:
    • Public: Anyone who can see the profile can see the showreel.
    • Private: Only people you share it with, for example a casting team you apply to, can see it.
  6. Click Create showreel.

Add media to a showreel

Do any of the following:

  • Upload new media: In the showreel, click Upload media, choose video, JPG, PNG, or WebP files (or drag them into the dialog), then click Upload media. Files you add this way are attached to the showreel automatically.
  • Reuse media from the library: In the showreel, click Media library, select an item, then click Attach. You can also enter a Caption override for this showreel only.
  • Edit an item's title, caption, or alt text: In the Media library dialog, select the item, change its Title, Caption, or Alt text, then click Save metadata.
  • Delete media from the library: In the Media library dialog, select the item, click Delete media asset, then confirm. This removes it from every showreel that uses it, and you can't undo it.

Arrange a showreel

Do any of the following:

  • Change the order of items: Click the Move item up or Move item down button on an item.
  • Change an item's caption: Click the Edit item caption button, enter an Item caption, then click Save caption.
  • Remove an item: Click the Remove from reel button, then click Remove item. The media stays in your library.
  • Change the order of showreels: Click the Move reel up or Move reel down button on a showreel.
  • Edit, duplicate, or delete a showreel: Click , , or on the showreel.

If you delete a showreel by mistake, find it under Deleted showreels and click Restore showreel. The showreel comes back with its media, order, and sharing settings.

Choose the main showreel

The main showreel appears at the top of the profile's public page.

  1. On the profile's showreels page, find a public showreel.
  2. Click Set main.
    The showreel shows a Main badge. To stop using it as the main showreel, click Clear main.

Stop sharing a private showreel

When you attach a private showreel to an application or a crew interest, the people reviewing it can watch it. To take that access back:

  1. On the profile's showreels page, find the private showreel.
  2. Click Revoke access, then confirm.
    The showreel and its media stay on your profile.
